Description
Torres Winery is a household name throughout the wine world. This Spanish winery has its roots in Catalonia, in northern Spain. The winery was founded as early as 1870 by Miguel Torres, who studied oenology in France. It is also thanks to him that various French grape varieties have gained a foothold in Spanish viticulture. However, Torres had bigger dreams. More than a century later, the winery expanded overseas. In 1979, the first grapevines were planted in Chile. Now, more than 50 years later, Miguel Torres Chile is the Chilean equivalent of Torres in Spain: a true pioneer in the wine industry of this South American country. The Las Mulas Wines from Chile Las Mulas is the newest series of wines from Miguel Torres Chile. They embody purity and clarity, as well as the balance between perfect wines and sustainability. The vineyards for Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc are located in the Central Valley. In central Chile, the climate is excellent for viticulture. The vineyards for the Sauvignon Blanc are situated slightly closer to the ocean, which helps preserve the grapes’ freshness. After the harvest, which takes place in March, the grapes undergo low-temperature fermentation. All of this ensures that Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc is refreshing, invigorating, and incredibly thirst-quenching. Impressions of Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc As soon as you pop the cork on this bottle of Chilean white wine, the real enjoyment begins. Both the aroma and the flavor clearly reveal its Sauvignon Blanc character. Fresh notes of tropical fruit and fresh citrus zest form the foundation of Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc. The taste is refreshing on the palate, with a delicate acidity on the tongue. The pure character of Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc makes it an excellent choice as an aperitif.
